Everybody’s Tennis

I really suck at tennis video game. I tried many of them: Virtua Tennis 1, Agassi Tennis, some tennis games at SNES, and even the old tennis at NES, but they’re not my game. Some people said that tennis video game is not for every gamer. It’s whether you’re really good at it or suck at it.

I though I was one of the gamers who really suck on tennis game until I play Mario Power Tennis (GBA). This game offers a lot of training activities if you play the story mode. In the story mode, you play as a kid, who just enters the tennis academy. A long the way, you’ll develop your character’s skills to be an ultimate tennis champion.

This game is really good for me. I know many things about tennis game, from something as basic as forehand and backhand, to advance and tricky tennis strategies. I never finish the game (because of my works 🙁 ) and it’s been a year since the last time I play it. But I feel that my tennis game skill is really improving because of this game.

Finally, I have the chance to prove it. On the last four days, I play Everybody’s Tennis on my PS2 (minna no Tennis in Japan or Hot Shot Tennis in US) and I almost beat all the computer players 😉 I unlock all the 14 characters, several umpires, several cute clothing for the players, and got a ‘Tennis Angle’ as my title (it’s one level higher than the Tennis Legend, or two levels higher than the Tennis Guru 🙂 ) Now I am playing against the advance levels in order to unlock the black-colored outfits.

I don’t think that the game is too easy. The control is easy, the game is really fun, but on the advance levels, it’s getting challenging.

So, if you stuck on tennis video game, just try the Mario Power Tennis. Your skill will improve and you got the chance to smash out that fat-short-man-with-moustache 😀
