Hitohira Sketch

I type this post with my laptop while watching Eurovision Helsinki 2007 on TV šŸ™‚

Here have a sketch of Mugi from the Hitohira

Mugi from Hitohira

I know Hitohira from the Opening and the Ending clips which I found on the Youtube. I fall in love with the songs and found out thatĀ the songsĀ was from a new anime launched April/May 2007. Just check them out at youtube šŸ˜‰

Ico and Yorda

I just purchase ICO from Saturn. I never play ICO before, just heard good reviews about it from the net and magazines. Some of them really recommend ICO as one of the game that you must try (before you die šŸ™‚ )

I played for almost 2 hours and found it reallly beautiful (the world, the theme, and the characters). I really like Ico and Yorda, the game characters, and the relationship between them. Inspires me to do some sketches.

Here, have a sketch of Yorda (done by pencil and marker)

Yorda and Ico

Yorda and Ico. Ico is half finished šŸ˜

And another sketch. Yorda is fascinated by the new NMG fashion, while Ico is trying hard to drag her away (but it doesn’t help). Yorda is a woman anyway, always fascinated by the magic ofĀ new shoes and clothingĀ šŸ˜‰

Still in pencil and the fashion stuff are not done but I’ll finishĀ them in Photoshop someday… šŸ˜

A good dinner makes you sleep better

I seldom write for my blog lately. Itā€™s because that Iā€™ve been busy programming my demo game (not a good excuse šŸ˜ ). I plan to finish it before the end of this month so I can start sending my CV & application letters this May.

So the last 2 weeks, Iā€™ve been working like hell.Ā  Almost 10 hours a day. So does my wife, doing her Master Thesis. We were three months in Indonesia and couldnā€™t work at all (http://abiamy.com/abiyasablogs/2007/02/26/i-am-back/). Thatā€™s why no matter how fast weā€™re moving, weā€™re still three month behind schedule. But itā€™s better than nothing.

Busy workingĀ

So since last week, we only eat instant foods we had.

But not tonight šŸ™‚

We decided to cook Spaghetti Bolognese. The recipe is from Astridā€™s dad. We put more shredded carrots than the minced meat and simmered the sauce with a glass of red wine for 40 minutes. Boil a half box of whole grain spaghetti, prepare two glasses of nice red wine, and donā€™t forget the grated parmesan cheese. Yummy šŸ˜›

We always enjoy good (and healthy) food and it is very important for us. Thatā€™s why we try our best allocating money for some special meals. At least once a month. Too bad that means there willĀ even less beer garden or cocktail with our friends since we really cannot afford it.

Now, I feel so relaxĀ but successfully force myself to write something. Time to sleep now. Goodnight šŸ˜‰

I am back!

Finally, back to Bremen šŸ™‚ Yaaayyyy!!

Actually, I’ve been in Bremen since last Monday (19 Feb), but it was a little bit chaos. Had to clean da house, go to the bank, and grocery shopping.

So how was the vacation?

Hmmā€¦ Unfortunately, it was not even a vacation šŸ™

Several days before we went back, my brother got an accident. He broke his knee so I had to help my mom taking care of my brother. And then 2 weeks later (end of November), my other brother got married. It was a big party and everybody was in rush because there were many unplanned things happened šŸ˜

OK, then in the beginning of December, just one day after celebrating my birthday, my father-in-law had to stay in the hospital. He had stones on both kidneys so he got 2 surgeries and had to stay in the hospital for 6 weeks. Later we found out that our father’s kidney was already chronic since the stones had been there for 5 years. He’s OK now but he has to back to hospital twice a week for Dialysis.

I didn’t realize that hospital was really that depressing until I had to stay there for more than a month, accompanying my mother-in-law & my wife.

A sketch which I did when I was at hospital. So depressing..

Ā

And when my father-in-law got out from the hospital, he wasn’t that fit, so we still had to accompany him for another month. And I almost got dengue fever. Actually, I already got the high fever but I fight back so the fever gone in 3 days.

Phew, so THAT was my days in Indonesia. I couldn’t work at all. I could not do my thesis or my game development.

I am so lucky that finally we back to Bremen. I finally able to do things I wanna do, like finishing my game demo & start looking for job as soon as I am done with my demos. Have to postpone my thesis until I get a job, yes a full time job.
